Safe, accurate spray mixing
Most spray mistakes are arithmetic mistakes. A label says "2 ml per litre" and the sprayer holds 16 litres; or it says "400 ml per acre" and you have to work out what goes into each tank. Mixing too strong wastes money and can scorch the crop or leave residues; mixing too weak lets pests survive and builds resistance.

Every pesticide sold in India carries a label and leaflet approved by the Central Insecticides Board & Registration Committee (CIB&RC), listing the crops, pests and doses it is approved for. These calculators only use the dose you type in from that label. If you are not sure which product or dose to use, ask your local Krishi Vigyan Kendra or agriculture officer.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use these calculators for herbicides and fungicides?
Yes. The maths is the same for any product diluted in water – insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, liquid fertilizers or growth regulators. Always use the dose on that product's label.
What PPE should I wear when spraying?
At minimum: gloves, a long-sleeved shirt and full trousers, eye protection and a mask or respirator suitable for the product. Check the label for product-specific precautions, don't eat or smoke while spraying, and wash thoroughly afterwards.
